Our founder, Nathan Sekar, went on a trip with his family to India in Summer 2022. He visited his parents' old schools on this trip and observed barriers in language. He felt grateful for the opportunities and ease of communication he felt in his hometown, Edison, New Jersey, and made it his mission to improve opportunities in India.

When Nathan went home, he talked to the public school officials of his parents' schools and realized that improving the school systems, especially English comprehension and speaking, was a common aspiration between them. Thus, Project Mozhi was born.
